The Rules Committee advises the Board, but it does not generate rules. The committee meets only when we receive recommendations for a rule change from the various other committees, NSCA members, the staff or a Board member. Once a request is received, we meet, discuss and send a recommendation to the Board. If the Board approves new rules or rule changes, the staff sends them to the entire community for comments. After reviewing comments for 28 days, the Board makes a decision and the staff publishes a revised set of Rules.
