This month we are reading Hernan Diaz’s award winning novel Trust—winner of the Pulitzer Prize for literature, long listed for the Booker Prize and best book of the year by several critics. The New York Times sums it up as follows:
“Intricate, cunning and consistently surprising … Much of the novel’s pleasure derives from its unpredictabiility… Add Henry James to Wharton, and Thomas Mann too…Exhilarating and intelligent novel.”
Page Turners members are in the process of selecting the nine books that we will read next book club year (September through June). This takes a couple of months to review the approximately 24 books suggested, and we fin- ish up not only with the nine winners but a very interesting reading list. For more information on the book club please email any one of the three coordinators—Lisa Buchner at lisabuchner47@gmail.com, Steve and Ann Morris at samwrsi@cox.net, or Yours Truly at fozimec@cox.net.
