Meetings— Our March speaker was Karen Newe, Master Gardener from San Clemente, on the topic of succulents—a common, foundational element of the California garden. She shared tips on selecting the best succulents for our gardens, and how to care for them.
Our next club meeting is on Monday, April 21 at 11:00 a.m. in the Clubhouse. Robin Pokorski, former CGCI President and Pacific Region Director, will share her experiences and give us advice on how to make our club the best it can be. Come to hear her presentation: “Lighting the fire, increasing the enthusiasm for your garden club.”
Plant Sale—Please save the morning of Saturday, April 5 for our very popular Annual Plant Sale in the Clubhouse from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Bring family or friends (register with the gate) to take advantage of the wonderful plants donated by our Club members, as well as local nurseries like Dana Point Nursery, Seaside Growers, Harvest Landscaping and others. Join Us—We always welcome new members to the Garden Club. Membership is open to all residents of Niguel Shores. You do not need to be a gardening expert to join. Sign-up forms are in the NSCA Office.
