Communication Committee: March 2024

Call for Niguel Shores Photos and Memories—Do you have something to share about “the past” in Niguel Shores? The Communication Committee hopes to expand the history of Niguel Shores that appears on our community website. You can help us compile a more complete Story of Niguel Shores with your pictures and memories from all our five decades as a community.

If you would like to take part, please share some of your photos and memories that show how Niguel Shores has grown and changed since its beginnings in the 1970s. You will be contributing to a valuable community resource. Some newer residents may have never heard about the Sun- day potluck dinners, the babysitting club, the square dances, the volleyball games, the macrame workshops, the kids’ camp, the ballet lessons, watercolor classes, or the dozens of other activities that once were popular here in the Shores.

Were you here before the new community center was built? Maybe you were on the swim team, or in the exercise group, or you competed in one of our early tennis tournaments. Perhaps you remember the dirt path from the bluff to the beach, or you built a sandcastle for a 4th of July competition.

Send to Us—Whatever photos or memories you have from the 1970s, 80s, 90s, or 2000s we hope you will share them. Whatever you send us, we can use it!

If you submit something, remember to add your name, address, and phone so we can get in touch for more information, or return items to you.

■ Photos: Send to seashorenews@hotmail.com. Digital pictures are preferred in JPEG or PNG format. For older prints, we do not need your actual original photo.
