New Year, New Ideas
We are always looking for new ways to maintain and improve communication within Niguel Shores, and we welcome input from our residents. Send ideas and comments to seashorenews@hotmail.com.
Along that line, our committee welcomes a new member, Heather Harding, who comes to us with a wealth of ideas for our neighborhood newsletter and website. We are glad to have you on board, Heather!
Print Versus Electronic Delivery of the News—The question arises once in a while: Why are we printing and hand-delivering our newsletter to residents when we could just email a digital copy instead? One reason is that many residents say they like having a paper copy to read at their own convenience, anytime, away from a computer or the small screen of a phone. Another is that some residents do not have email or electronic media capability, either by choice or because it is difficult for them to use these devices. For those who do have email, we send a link each month to view the newsletter online in full color wherever they may be. Our printed newsletter is a beloved tradition here in Niguel Shores, something unique and rarely found in other communities. The newsletter has a budget alloted by NSCA, as noted on the financials sent to all residents. However, it is important to know that the newsletter costs our residents nothing, as it is created and delivered at no charge by volunteers and its printing costs are covered by support from our loyal advertisers.
New Homeowners—We encourage new homeowners to fill out the form available on our Niguel Shores website so we can welcome you, and you can get to know more about our community. See the tab “New Niguel Shores Homeowners” at niguelshores.org.
