It can’t be said often enough: Our Seashore News team is the best! You know them. They are your Niguel Shores neighbors, the people living on your street, your friends at the pool or the park or the bluff—and each month they do a fantastic job of covering events here in Niguel Shores for our newsletter. We mean it sincerely when we say “Thank You” to our volunteer team of reporters, photographers, edi- tors, and deliverers for all they do.
Even if they’re on vacation, we still hear from them. This month, an article came in from one of our writers vacationing in Oregon along the Columbia River Gorge. Another reporter checked in from Barcelona with her article. Still another gathered news from our committees while on the way to Nova Scotia. And the list goes on. If a delivery person is out of town, others kindly step up to substitute. If there’s a photo-worthy activity, it’s awesome how many photos come in!
So here is a huge note of appreciation to those who have contributed recently as our committee, club, activity, sports, and feature reporters, including Don Baer, Debi Berk, Edwina Bynoe, Susan Courtney, Susan Davis, Geoff Dunlevie, Bob Hochstadter, Chris Horpel, Terry Link, Lisa Merenbach, Bonnie Meyer, Tim Moore, Tim Murphy, Mike Oliva, Frances Ozimec, Judi Palladino, Karey Palmer, Michelle Ralph, Jennifer Rose, Patti Staudenbaur, Sharon Stewart, Mike Stivley, Ann Strauss, Jessica Wright. More kudos to Meg Wilson, Jane Olson, Tina Fornadley, Laurel Yocca, and Gary Tinnes for their photography; to Mary Ellen Hofmann and the distributors on her team for delivering the Seashore News to homes on each street; and to our advertisers for helping to support the newsletter.
And one more thing: We invite you to join the team! If you are interested in promoting communication in our com- munity with your ideas or your journalistic bent; if you want first-hand knowledge of what’s happening in the Shores; if you want to be part of a friendly group who truly value the history of the Shores and the local area; if you look forward to sustaining the positive in what we have and improving the future where needed—consider volunteering as a Communication Committee member, a news gatherer in your neighborhood, a club or committee reporter, a feature columnist, a photographer, or a delivery person in your area. Check in the Office for details, leave your name, and we
will contact you with more information.
