ARCHITECTURAL COMMITTEE
Project Expiration Dates
A completed application from the homeowner is required to begin the process of any exterior modification of a residence in Niguel Shores. After the plan/information is reviewed for accuracy and completeness, a letter of approval is then provided to the applicant by the Architec- tural Committee. The approval form specifies a start date and a completion date for the work to be done.
Projects may be assigned a three-month, six-month, or longer completion date depending on the complexity of the work being done. Project delays remain commonplace since the pandemic and the resulting various disruptions in global trade. Supply chain delays have made it difficult to acquire materials, deal with increased costs, and find contractors with availability to schedule work. Consequently, our residents frequently need to extend the completion date of their projects.
It’s important to note that when this occurs, three-month projects are not eligible for extension and must be resubmitted. Additionally, six-month and longer projects still expire even though they have been approved and the work was delayed. When a delayed project is ready to restart, please contact the NSCA Administrative Office so we can bring your application up to date and get things moving again. We are ready to assist
with your renovation!
