Communication Committee: December 2022

During this time of gratitude, sharing, and celebration, the Seashore News sends a huge “Thank You” to everyone who contributed to this year’s issues. It takes dozens of volunteers to plan, create, and distribute the newsletter each month so we can’t name everyone here, but to single out a few:
Our appreciation goes out to the reporters who recently stepped up to write for the newsletter: Mike Stively (Architecture); Tim Moore (Men’s Club); Mike Oliva (Bridge); Don Baer (Tennis); Debi Berk, Edwina Bynoe, Chris Horpel, Anthony Lord (Pickleball); Jessica Wright (Family); Jeannie Sticher, Gary Wilson, Debi Berk (Rec Amenities).
It goes without saying that we are ever-grateful for our regulars, some of whom have been contributing articles and photos for years: Tim Murphy (Traffic/Safety); Geoff Dunlevie (Maintenance); Bill Walkup (Landscape); Terry Link (Women’s Club); Ann Strauss (Garden Club); Frances Ozimec (Page Turners); Norton Schwartz (Really Serious Book Club); Susan Davis (Pets); Sharon Stewart (Wellness); Meg Wilson, Jane Olson, Tina Fornadley, Gary Tinnes (Photos).
We can’t forget to mention the loyal group who meet once a month to insert flyers into the newsletters and count copies for each street: Marilou Heckman, Gayle Rindge, Ardis Ghobrial, Mary Ellen Hofmann, Susan and Joe Courtney, Lisa Merenbach, Dot Wall, Sam Johnson, Ray Homicz, Carol and Karl Kuhn, Joan Beyer, Peggy and Mike Oliva—and add to that all the neighborhood residents who hand-deliver the newsletter to our homes each month.
Finally, a special acknowledgement of our Communication Committee members. They go way beyond any description I could give here to ensure that the newsletter and web- site are valuable resources for the whole community. It has been a pleasure as Seashore News Editor to work alongside these dedicated committee members: Michelle Ralph, Patti Staudenbaur (Assistant Editors); Susan Courtney, Meg Wilson (News and Photos); Mary Ellen Hofmann (Distribution); Donny Borsack (Board Liaison); Matt Northrop (NSCA Liaison); Marla Miller (General Manager).
The Seashore News and the Niguel Shores website niguelshores.org are the official sources of NSCA information about our community, written and distributed by our wonderful Niguel Shores volunteers. We look forward to hearing and writing more of your stories in the New Year. Blessed and Joyous Holidays to All!
