Maintenance Committee: July 2022

Ready for the 4th—Hopefully you are in full summer mode and prepping for our Independence Day festivities. The Management Team has been extremely busy preparing for all the wonderful events that go along with Niguel Shores community celebration—from mounting the beautiful 4th of July decorations, to readying the Clubhouse for the annual Men’s Club Pancake Breakfast serving hundreds, to the Flag Raising, Grand Parade, Women’s Club Hot Dog Lunch, and the residents and friends that will be celebrating at the Bluff.
Speaking of the Bluff—The approved replacement of the portable picnic tables has been delayed due to—you guessed it—supply chain delays! Of the ten tables we planned to order, only two were available and are being assembled.
Street Project—Our 2022 Street Project, which normally occurs later in the year, is now planned for this July in order to complete the work prior to an expected material cost increase of approximately $8,000. Be on the lookout in your mail and email boxes for the schedule of closures on the following streets: Atlantic Drive, Taranto Bay, Amundsen Bay, Tasman Bay, Marmara Bay, Bothina Bay, Coral Bay, Gourami Bay, and Vista D’Onde. The schedule can also be found online at niguelshores.org.
Hard Work, Great Results—Big thank you to our committee chair Len Beebe and committee member Art Staudenbaur for their hard work sanding and prepping the picnic tables at the Bluff for their annual restoration. This is a lot of effort, so give Len and Art a toast next time you are at the Bluff enjoying a sunset glass! And think of the hard- working Maintenance Team too, while you are at it.
Happy 4th of July to Everyone!
