Our next meeting is on June 28 at 2:00 p.m. when we’ll be reading Making China Modern by Klaus Muhlhahn. It is a monumental book filled with fascinating details on the history and future
of China. Last month we read Parts 1 and 2 for our May discussion and we will focus on Parts
3 and 4 in June.
Residents interested in reading non-fiction works of social, cultural, economic, philosophical and/or political significance are invited to join us in the homes of our members on the fourth Tuesday afternoon of each month for thoughtful discussion—and our signature Oreo cookies. Contact Norton Schwartz for details at nortlynne@cox.net.
