Traffic & Safety Committee: Tennis Court Upgrades

After an oddly warm and dry February, who knows what Mother Nature has in store for March! It already felt like spring even in the middle of February but this year March 20 is the official first day of spring. We can look forward to longer days, warm weather, birds nesting and hopefully a little rain before the summer months set in. With this change of the season, our maintenance team is at work preparing for the increased use of the neighborhood amenities along with the ongoing projects.

Attention all Niguel Shores Tennis and Pickleball Players! The tennis and pickleball courts will be closed from Saturday, March 5 through Friday, March 11 for repairs (weather permitting). Repairs, activity, and upgrades during this time will include:

■ Installation of permanent pickleball nets.
■ After installation of the pickleball nets, the courts must be closed for the rest of this time frame to allow the courts to cure.
■ Tennis court fence repairs and fencing post upgrades as needed.

No tennis reservations will be accepted during this time frame. Tennis Courts #3 and #4 may be used during some of this time but specific dates are to be determined, and there will be some associated noise with the project.

Again we are working to keep Niguel Shores the “well maintained community” it is known to be. Have a great March!
