Lucky, Indeed
We wish everyone the “Luck of the Irish” this month! Along with that, we might also add that the beautiful Emerald Isle isn’t the only place where lucky feelings abound. If you have visited the islands of our 49th state, you no doubt heard about the leprechaun-like menehune who work their magic, and you’ve surely heard the expression voiced by so many island residents: “Lucky we live Hawaii.” They appreciate their good fortune to be surrounded by natural beauty and people of many cultures sharing friendly island spirit. It’s not a surprise that Hawaii has been named one of the happiest states in America.
In a way, that Hawaiian expression of gratitude and good fortune fits life right here in our community too: “Lucky we live Niguel Shores.” We are surrounded by greenbelts, flora, open space, recreational amenities, and ocean views. Our neighbors come from a variety of interesting backgrounds and unique experiences. There are friendly greetings along our walking paths and big smiles when we meet at social events, at the pool or sport courts, or gather at the Bluff. Not to outdo Hawaii, but if someone took a poll in our area, they would most likely find Niguel Shores residents among the happiest people as well. In our house, we say it over and over: “Lucky we live Niguel Shores.”
