November Family Events in Dana Point

Elephant Parade
Twenty-five beautifully decorated elephant statues can be spotted in various Dana Point locations from now through November 26. The painted statues raise awareness for the Asian elephant, an endangered species, and for the
conservation of all elephant species.

The Harbor Lights Up – November 17
Dana Point Harbor Partners bring seasonal cheer with the annual holiday light display, consisting of over 700,000 LED lights. Magnificent light displays illuminate the evening for guests of all ages to enjoy. Themed exhibits include a giant whale sculpture, lighted palm trees, giant Christmas trees, Candy Cane Lane and the popular “Merry Kiss Me” arch.

The Ritz Hosts a Holiday Open House and Tree Lighting – November 21, 4 to 6 p.m.
Our neighbor, the Ritz Carlton, invites everyone to festivities that include holiday music, an appearance from Santa Claus, music, hot cocoa, and a countdown to light the 40-foot tree on the front drive. There is no charge, but donations of new toys, non-perishable food items, children’s books, and dog treats and toys will be collected for Miracles for Kids, Orange County Rescue Mission, and local dog shelters.

Dana Point Harbor Presents the 44th Annual Turkey Trot – November 25, 6 to 11 a.m.
A local Thanksgiving tradition! Run or walk a 5K, 10K, Combo 15K, or Kids 1-Mile Gobble Wobble in the Harbor. Registration fees vary according to events from $20 to $48 and include T-shirt and medal. Register at https://turkeytrot.com/
