The Men’s Club hosted another successful 4th of July Pancake Breakfast this year. With the help of approximately 40 volunteers from our club and the community, we sold 416 tickets and raised over $2000 for our Scholarship fund. I want to thank everyone who worked on the event and the community members for supporting our Scholarship Fund.
Those who did not have the opportunity to donate to our scholarship fund can go to niguelshoresmensclub.org to contribute. Every penny donated will go to local graduating high school seniors. Our most recent recipients of the scholarship were twin brothers, Cole and Will Halbert. Cole and Will are Niguel Shores residents and two fine, very well deserving young men. Would you please help us award many more scholarships in the upcoming years?
We have two breakfast meetings scheduled for August. Our August 3 Breakfast will feature Rosalind Russell, who extensively traveled the Far East, India, and China. She will share pictures and stories and talk about her charity work. On August 17 we’ll host Devin Hughes. Devin delivers eye-opening and pragmatic keynotes, which inspire audiences while triggering changes in mindsets and behaviors. He uses a mix of storytelling, interactive exercises, research, and real-life examples to give life to key messages.
Last month, our speaker at the July 20 breakfast was Orange County Supervisor, Lisa Bartlett. Lisa always draws large crowds to our meetings and shares her insight and a wealth of information that impacts our community.
For those who are not yet members of our club, please join us at one of our meetings in August as our guests. You will be treated to breakfast, excellent conversation with members of our community, and an entertaining and informative speaker. Of course, we hope you also decide to join our club. Annual dues are $25, and breakfasts are only $5 each.
