Community Facilities – Update October 15, 2020

Proposed Rule Changes

Several residents have sent in comments and the Board listened. During the October 14th General Session Meeting the Board decided to remove several of the proposed rule changes from the Proposed Rules Packet dated September 23, as follows:

Prohibited Parking on Common Area – Removed

            Beach Parking – Removed

            Enforcement Procedures – Removed

Special Event or Group Entry – Removed

            Definition of Resident – Removed

The proposed changes to the rules listed above will be removed and those particular rules will go back to what they were in the January 1, 2020 version of the rules, which can be found on the website at niguelshores.org.

There is also still time to comment on the other proposed rules, so feel free to review them and submit your comments to the office via email, hand delivery to the management office or the drop box in the front of the community center.

Community Pool – Use at Your Own Risk

The pool is now open until 7:00 p.m. every evening and guests are now allowed as long as they are with the person that lives in Niguel Shores.

Pickleball and Tennis – Use at Your Own Risk

Pickleball and Tennis courts are open from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. every day except on Sunday, when Pickleball will be open only from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Guests are now allowed to use these amenities as long as they are with the person living in Niguel Shores.

Management Office Open – Mask Required

The Management office is open with some important guidelines to keep you safe and practice social distancing:

  1. A Mask is required.
  2. One person/family at a time inside.
  3. If someone is inside you will be required to wait until they leave.
  4. Appointments are encouraged and will receive preferential treatment.
  5. If you come without an appointment and there is an appointment scheduled, you may have to wait outside until the scheduled appointment has come and gone.

The appointments are great because it allows staff to have all paperwork ready and the resident is in and out quickly – a win win for everyone.
