After a breakfast of cinnamon Fench toast with sausage and fresh fruit prepared to perfection by the Mike Roberts cooking team, members heard from Steven Kuykendall, our retired 36th District U.S. Congressman and current Board President of the Fisher House Foundation. Kuykendall spoke about the non-prof- it’s work providing modern, comfortable homes for relatives of hospitalized veterans to use free of charge so they can provide family support during a veteran’s hospitalization. Niguel Shores resident Sherry Frymoyer, a Fisher House volunteer, assisted the presentation.

On February 18, we enjoyed breakfast by the Enger cooking team and heard from Brian Maryott, Mayor of San Juan Cap- istrano and City Councilman representing San Juan Capistrano’s 5th District. Maryott gave his views on the state of the country and his ideas for governing if elected to the U.S. House of Representatives.
Coming up this week on March 3, we Brian Maryott, SJC Mayor will feature the “Goat Lady,” Rosalind Russell, who regu- larly travels from Laguna Beach to live with the Nepalese people in earthquake decimated villages. She is known for giv- ing goats to village women to provide milk and yogurt for the people. To a vil- lager who has lost everything, a goat is like a new Porsche, and when the goats have offspring, village women give them
Rosalind Russell the “Goat Lady” to other villagers, thereby expanding the supply of these treasured gifts.
At our March 17 breakfast, our speaker is financial advisor James Fullen- kamp who will bring us the latest on finan- cial planning. James is our most requested speaker. Because he has been featured on several occasions, including the Mother’s Day presentation with our ladies last year, this time he will bring three specialists for a program featuring four speakers with
James acting as program panel moderator. Should be fun! He might have some fun for Saint Patrick’s Day as well.
We invite all Niguel Shores men to try kicking off your day with a solid breakfast, some interesting learning, and the opportunity to enjoy existing and new friends at our next Men’s Club meeting—8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3.
