GARDEN CLUB
The lobster tails were large, perfectly grilled, and served
hot and steamy to the club members and guests who already had waiting plates loaded with delicious potato salad following club members who selflessly spent time to make a successful dinner.
To start off, many thanks to Al Glatt for leading the
slaw, grilled corn-on-the-cob, soft rolls and cups of hot butter for dipping. My mouth gets moist just thinking about that great lobster dinner the Garden Club put on, Thursday, October 24. Of course, to serve such a sumptuous meal required a lot of work, and I want to acknowledge the
team effort, for coordinating getting the fresh from-the- ocean lobsters, and for leading the team grilling the lobsters to perfection. For preparing and grilling the lobsters with Al, thank you to Greg Gutknecht, Tim Murphy, Blair McDonald, Bob Schreiber and Jack Webb.
Beside the lobster team, we also send our apprecia- tion to those preparing the corn, salads, rolls, and hot butter: Grace Glatt, Carmen Murphy, JoAnne Webb, Lee Sweeney, Mary Kay Gut- knecht, Irene McDonald and Joan Beyer. Of course, you can’t enjoy a delicious lobster dinner without wine and beer, and we have to thank Blair
McDonald for getting them.
I believe I speak for all who attended the dinner that the
chairperson, traveling Chris Daley, works diligently to col-
unique table decorations and settings were a visual treat to the eyes and senses. There is only one person who created all of it, I’m sure you already know from past events. Thank you, Suzanne Enis. And to top off the excellent meal, we had chocolate cake for dessert.
Members, be sure to mark your calendars for our
Holiday Party on December 16. Signups for what to bring

On behalf of your club officers, I want to wish our Garden Club members a very joyous holiday season, with the coming year full of good health and happiness (and lots of rain).
