Our November Luncheon was certainly one of the best. Kent Wellbrock—Niguel Shores resident and Men’s Club member, Seashore News Emergency Preparedness writer and US Army Special Forces Veteran – was our speaker. How fitting to have Kent there for our Veteran’s Day meeting. Thank you, Kent, for your service.
Kent is certified as a personal trainer, a teacher, has been part of the OC Sheriff’s Department Search and Rescue Team, the Dana Point Community Emergency Response Team, and participates in other preparedness organizations.
He is very knowledgeable about emergency readiness, and he provided many tips and handouts about how to prepare ourselves and what to do in an emergency. Thank you, Kent. Your presentation was truly amazing. I don’t know about the rest of you . . . but if we have an earthquake, I’m going straight to Kent’s house.
The annual Women’s Club Holiday Party “Woodland Wonders” will be held for members and their invited guests at the Clubhouse from 5 to 8 p.m. on December 13, in place of the monthly luncheon. Members are asked to bring a hearty appetizer and an unwrapped toy to place under the tree for children of Marine families. Please come and enjoy a festive evening.
The Women’s Club is open to Niguel Shores residents to promote friendship, fun and service in the community. For membership inquiries please contact Barb Goffman at barbgoffman@cox.net.
