October was a great month for our Niguel Shoes Men’s Golf Group. We took on Talega, Strawberry Farms, San Juan Hills, and Arroyo Trabuco. We are very lucky to have so many public courses to play so close to home. The weather here isn’t so bad either.
As we wind down 2018 we will be playing San Juan Hills on November 6, Tijeras Creek on November 13, Talega on November 20 and Oak Creek on November 27.
December 11 is the date of our annual putting contest at Talega. It is always great fun, and a little chaotic, followed by a fantastic brunch and prizes. We present the Golfer of the Year for 2018 with the famous White Jacket!

“It was a sunny Saturday morning, and Mike was beginning his
pre-shot routine, visualizing his upcoming shot, when a voice
came over the clubhouse loudspeaker: “Would the gentleman
on the ladies’ tee please back up to the men’s tee, please!”
Mike was still deep in his routine, seemingly impervious to the
interruption. Again the announcement, “Would the man on the
women’s tee kindly back up to the men’s tee!” Mike had enough.
He shouted, “Would the jerk in the clubhouse with the loud
speaker kindly shut up and let me play my second shot!”
