Women’s Golf: July 2018 News

The Niguel Shores lady golfers met June 11 at The Ranch 9-hole golf course with five golfers heading out to play: Irene McDonald, Terri Matrisch, Val Mitchell, Catriona Sigsby and Julie Patton. Val won with low gross score of 35, Catriona with longest drive on hole 9, and Julie with low putts at 14. Congratulations!
The luncheon following golf was an extra special treat because we celebrated our dear friend Ruthie Stahl on her 100th birthday! All the ladies turned out with well wishes, including President Marlene Lynch, Treasurer Lee Sweeney, Secretary Brenda Tuckley, India Rouse, Chris Beaver, Ceacy Johns, Joanie Beyer, and Ruthie’s lovely caregiver Michelle. Ruthie was presented with a giant photo poster of the Niguel Shores Ladies Golf Club on which we were all able to sign our personal messages. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed lemon cake to round out the celebration.
The next golf outing will be July 9 at 9 a.m. All golf levels are welcome and encouraged to join us! Please contact Irene McDonald to sign up at (949) 481-3035.

A LITTLE HUMOR UNTIL OUR NEXT MEETING:
Lady 1: “I felt out of shape and decided to take an aerobics class.”
Lady 2: “Oh, how did it go?”
Lady 1: “I bent, twisted, gyrated, jumped up and down, and perspired for an hour—but, by the time I got my leotards on, the class was over.”
