Garden Club: July 2018 News

At our May club meeting the following officers for the 2018-2019 year were approved by voice vote.
■ President – Nadine Allen
■ Vice President – Francine Stout
■ Secretary – Diane Dale
■ Treasurer – Karl Kuhn
■ Membership – Chris Daley
Our annual Beach Bluff BBQ was a mouthwatering success. Instead of our usual hamburgers we enjoyed various selections of pizza. Added to that was a vast variety of salads, appetizers, and drinks. A very special sheet cake with a lighted sparkler was served to commemorate the 100th birthday of our member, Ruthy Stahl. We also took a moment to thank our outgoing President, Gunjan Anand, for her outstanding two years of service guiding our club through interesting speakers and outside events. If you missed this party, what can I say? It was excellent!
Have a great summer. There will be no meetings in July and August, but be assured that our new officers will spend these months planning for an exciting and informative new club year.
