Five Niguel Shores lady golfers played January 8 at The Ranch in Laguna Beach—Irene McDonald, Catriona Sigsby, Julie Patton, guest Karen Condino who was visiting for the winter months from Michigan, and prospective new member Cindy. Players used the best drive of the group on each hole and then played their own ball in for an individual score. Prizes went to Catriona and Julie, who tied for low score of 37; Karen for low number of putts with 17; Julie for closest to the pin on #6; Irene for closest to the pin on #8; and Karen for longest drive on #9. The golfers were thankful to finish the round without being caught in the rain!
An informal meeting followed during a lovely luncheon overlooking the first fairway, and it was very well-attended even on such a gray day! Everyone was especially happy to see Ruthie Stahl and Joanie Beyer, who returned looking well after both had taken falls before the holidays. We were also thrilled to be joined by Barbara Brackbeck and Liz Kelsch whom we hadn’t seen in many months! Also attending were Treasurer Lee Sweeney, Secretary Brenda Tuckley, and our social members Chris Beaver and Ceacy Johns.
The next golf outing will be at 9 a.m. on February 12, at The Ranch. All levels of golfers are welcome! Please call Irene at (949) 481-3035 to add your name to the list.
