What a year this has been! To cap off this year, in June we had a lovely formal tea which was hosted by the Board. Nancy Tinnes, Lydia Reese and Suzanne Enis poured; there were delicious homemade tea sandwiches and scones and yummy desserts.
The entertainment was fabulous! Jessina Peterson gave us the history of the Bluebird Nestbox Project here in Niguel Shores and about our present feathered friends. This was also installation
day for the new officers.
The new officers are: Lydia Reese, President, Hansa Sehgal, Vice President, Yollie Mancino, Secretary, and Cathy Tyson, Treasurer.
We had some wonderful programs this year. To name a few: Captain Dave showed us a sneak peek from his new film, Drones over Wild Dolphins and Whales. We also had Kirsten Donald from the Pacific Marine Mammal Center, Berenika Schmitz from the Dana Point Symphony, and, also, Casa Romantica, and our own private concert given by the Dana Hills Jazz Singers. Ray Rayfield from the Water Company and Scott Schoeffel from the Dana Point City Council gave us updates of our water situation and the downtown area. We also had a fashion show and home tour this year. How lucky were we?
In addition, our membership is now up to 126. We are the largest club in our community!
