January/February To-Do List:
1. Plant Bulbs you’ve stored or bought.
2. Continue to plant cool-season color—pansy, snapdragon,
viola, cyclamen, and sweet pea.
3. Plant spring-summer perennials: delphinium, foxglove,
dianthus.
4. Prune roses now. Seal cuts on branches thicker than
your thumb. Redefine watering basins. Apply organic
fertilizer, then cover with ½-2″ layer of compost or
mulch.
