The program this month will be about the Dana Point Symphony Orchestra, which was created by Berenika, the Artistic Director, with the help of Scott Schoeffel, ex-Mayor of Dana Point and current City Council member. Berenika will be giving us a history of the Orchestra, which is only five years old, and will also be giving information about the coming season. The Dana Point Symphony is comprised of talented members from all over Southern California. The programs this year will be February 27th, April 16th, May 7, and June 11. Berenika will be bringing a performer with her, so we will be having our own private concert. What fun! Come and meet this beautiful lady, who has brought culture to Dana Point, during the social half hour between 12 and 12:30 on January 14.
In addition, we will be holding a raffle for two season tickets for the Symphony. We are asking for a donation for the raffle tickets of $1 each or 6 for $5. You must be present to win. You, also, will be able to buy either season or individual tickets to the Symphony after our meeting. Season tickets are a special price of $55, individual tickets are $20 for adults or $15 for seniors and students. You may pay by either check or cash, no credit cards, please.
