We had a great tournament on April 22 at Tijeras Creek in Rancho Santa Margarita. The weather was great and the course in fine shape. The game that day was “1, 2, 3 Foursome”. The 1st hole score is best net of the four players. The 2nd hole score is 2 best net scores of the four players. The 3rd hole score is 3 best net scores of the four players. The remaining holes are scored in same rotation as 1st three holes.
First Place went to the team of Dennis Rosene, Mark Russell, Hal Allen, and Vid Klath. Second Place went to the team of Kent Wellbrock, John Monson, and Bill Verbrugge. Closest to the pin went to Jon Cobain on #5 and Mac Brown on #16.
Our May tournament was at Arrowood in Oceanside on the 27th. On June 24 our tournament will be at Glen Eagle Golf Club in Corona. This is a great course and new to our golf tour.

Exceptions to the rules of golf:
Frivolous Ball: If, after hitting an unsatisfactory tee shot, a player exercises his right to play a revisional ball (mulligan) and thereupon hits a plainly laughable shot or one that is demonstrably and ludicrously inferior to the original flawed drive that gave rise to his desire to take a replay, he may, upon declaring his intention to abide by “The Rules of Golf” and desist from further unserious play, pick up the frivolous ball (gilligan) and play his first ball without forfeiting any residual rights he may possess to the replay of another drive at some future point during the round.
