The Niguel Shores Men’s Club meets every first and third Tuesday of the month at 8:00 a.m. in the ClubHouse for breakfast and a presentation by a guest speaker, usually on a topic of interest to the membership.
This past Tuesday, our speaker was Ms. Cordula Dick-Muehlke, PhD, Director of Education UCI Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders. Dr.
Dick-Meuhlke reviewed in detail the impact of Alzheimer’s Disease in the US and the various stages of the disease. Alzheimer is the most common form of dementia and not only affects the individual but family and friends as well.
This year’s Dana High School recipients of the Men’s Club $1,000 Scholarship Awards also attended the breakfast to introduce themselves and thank the membership for the awards. The students were Luke Wallace who received the Boy’s Award, Lauryn Cerutti, the Girl’s Award and, Shana Hu received the Fran and Buck Ewing Arts Award.
The Men’s Club will once again be serving the traditional 4th of July Pancake Breakfast in the ClubHouse from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. All residents and friends are welcome—a great way to start the great day.
