May is the month for mothers and that includes pretend mothers with their baby dolls. The Women’s Club will be entertained by Carol Peterson, a volunteer docent at the Bower’s Museum, who will display and discuss dolls, toys and children’s artifacts and the political and social trends represented by the objects.
Members are invited to bring a childhood toy or artifact to display (please identify the toy and specify the time period).
Your luncheon invitation will arrive by e-mail on May 3 and you are asked to please respond by May 6. The luncheon will be in the ClubHouse at 12:00 noon on Thursday, May 10.
*If you haven’t guessed who the member is with her doll in the photo, her identity will be revealed at the luncheon! Spring is in the air when we all feel young again so do be there to relive a bit of your childhood…
