The Garden Club had a great time trekking through the Descanso Gardens in LaCanada Flintridge in April. The gardens are home to one of the largest collections of camelia plants in the U.S. Thirty members were led on a docent tour of the gardens and the estate home of Manchester Boddy, one-time publisher of the L.A. News. The weather was perfect, and everyone agreed that they had a blooming good time!
May Meeting:
The club will hold its annual plant sale at the ClubHouse on Saturday, May 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We hope to equal or exceed the huge turnout of last year. All Shores residents are invited, and can purchase some plants to fill in those bare spots in their gardens and patios.
