Our State legislator, Diane Harkey, paid us another informative and entertaining visit. It seems rather depressing how the gridlock in Sacramento keeps ignoring the serious financial problems and appeasing special interest groups. One of our newer members, Mike Pla, who was a design engineer with SoCal Edison showed a training film about how the electricity is delivered from the generating stations, through sub stations to our homes. I still don’t understand that stuff. I’m really glad the club never has tests. We’re here just to have fun, and that we do. So, if you live in the Shores and want to be informed and educated with no tests, please join us. The first and third Tuesdays at the Club House. Hot breakfasts start the 8:00 a.m. meetings.
